The region is so easy to get to by plane, train or car. 

The easiest way is to fly to Girona (also spelt Gerona ) in Spain which is just over 1hr away by car, and has a large number of flights from all over the UK

Barcelona is a little further away but is an international airport with loads of connections. Perpignan is the closest at 40mins away but has fewer flights.
