Travelling off season It's beautiful here off season with a snow capped mountain, blossoming trees and wild flowers - and it's easier for walking! There's heating throughout the house and a woodburning stove in the living room - logs available from the supermarket. Bring slippers as all the floors are tiled and can be chilly underfoot.

Hot weather - Every room has modern shutters to keep the sunlight out and the rooms cool. The master bedroom has air con (although we choose not to use it but instead use the screen and the shutter and let the fresh air in). The other bedrooms have fansThere are a few mosquitos here, especially in the heat of July, so using a spray is advisable when sitting outside stargazing and the blinds should be put down to protect the bedrooms, with just the small slits open if preferred to let in the air. In the daytime in the garden there is always somewhere to sit in the shade - or in the sun - as you prefer!

We welcome pets Please let us know if you would like to bring your pets with you. We reserve the right to charge extra if dogs moult excessively - it can be hot here! Please leave the garden clean. There are good dog walking spaces a short walk from the villa.

Around the villa The villa is in a small cul-de-sac near the edge of the village. The back of the house looks into a small wood. All the windows of the house are not overlooked. You can park on the drive or in the cul-de-sac - there is always plenty of space. There is no traffic noise. The walk into the village is very pretty and safe with plenty to keep children interested such as nesting house martins, a bridge over a stream, flowers and lemon trees and even a snow-capped mountain to gaze at for much of the year.  You can walk up into the woods and mountains from here, too - only local residents can get a car much closer to the start of the footpaths.  At night, the stars are bright above the garden.

We have a few guidance notes for the house to make your stay and future guests stays more pleasant. Your help would be appreciated.

1) Please try and keep the main bins tidy and clean and bag up all rubbish properly. With the heat it can become an issue.

2) If possible prior to you leaving take any excess rubbish to the village dechetterie to allow room for the next guests

3) We like our neighbours, and would ask that you keep the noise down after 10pm please
